How often should I go for Health Check Ups?

Health check-ups are advised to be availed once in a year. Your age, sex, existing complications, family history, lifestyle choices, and many other essential factors also affect how often you must take a health screening test.

Is a Doctor’s prescription required for Health Check?

Doctor’s prescription is not required if you avail any wellness package. For any illness test, prescription might be required.

Can I drink water before Health Check Up?

Only normal water can be consumed prior to the test. Water hydrates the body and makes the vein plump. Inform your doctor about routine medications that you may be taking. Do not skip any medicine unless advised by your doctor.

What should I avoid before going for a Health Check Up?

Avoid consuming foods that have excessive salt, sugar, and laxative substances as these can either trigger and elevate your results or make you feel uncomfortable. Exercise or strenuous, physical activities are a big no before a health check up as these can raise your blood pressure and heart rate.

Do I need to be on fasting for my health check?

Upto 10 – 12 Hrs of Fasting is required if you have a diabetes test in the list of tests curated for you. Once you build your health profile, on your Pro Health plan page, it will be specified whether fasting is needed for you or not.

Should I bring along my existing prescription & medication?

Yes, you are requested to bring all your health records and any medications you regularly take to the health screening (including any medications you take on an empty stomach). Having this data will help us gauge your personal, medical, and family history better. Our Health assessment team will advise you on which medicines to take before they draw blood and which to take afterwards.

How is the health screening conducted?

Health screenings will begin with a detailed history and general physical examination, including a health risk assessment, followed by diagnostic tests (sample collections), imaging tests, and physician consultations. A report of the results will then be generated for a physician to review and discuss with you.

When do I get the reports?

Your report delivery time will vary depending on the Health Check Up Package selected.
The delivery time will vary between 24 to 48 hours. In case of specific tests whose reports / results sometimes take more time, it may take up to 72 hours.

Do you provide home collection of lab samples?

We currently provide home collection of lab samples. But your diagnostics may include a combination of laboratory and imaging / radiology diagnostics, which can only be done at our hospitals / clinics.

Can health check up predict my future health risk?

We’ve built several AI-based predictive risk scores that will be included in your Health report the cardiac score predicts your chance of having a heart event within 10 years, the pre-diabetes score predicts your chance of being diagnosed with pre-diabetes within 3 years, etc. These scores bring you up to speed on the A-Z of your health and help you take the right actions.
