Profile: Dr. Vikas is expertise in Managing all Kidney conditions including Acute Kidney Injury, Chronic Kidney Disease, Kidney transplant, Hypertensive kidney disease, Diabetic kidney disease, Renal stones. He has experience in managing many chronic kidney diseases, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis patients. During his tenure at P.D Hinduja, he has been actively trained and involved in treating and managing more than 500 kidney transplant patients. He is also expertise in dialysis catheters (temporary/tunneled) and renal biopsy procedures. He is passionate about academics and nephrology research. He has numerous presentations [Podium and poster] in regional and national conferences.
He has a special interest in Critical Care Nephrology, Prevention and early detection of chronic kidney disease, Vascular Access for Hemodialysis and Renal Transplantation. Previously he has worked on projects to evaluate pre-transplant antibody levels measured by the Luminex technique with graft outcome in renal transplant patients.
