The Department of Pain Management at MGM New Bombay Hospital Vashi hospital provides Pain Management Services for Sub-Acute and Chronic Pain Patients. By definition, Sub Acute pain is any pain lasting between 4 and 12 weeks of duration. Chronic pain is defined as any kind of pain persisting for more than 12 weeks duration. We use a multidisciplinary approach to help you take an active role in managing your pain and to help you in getting back to a normal, productive life. Q: Can the pain medications harm the body?
Improper prescription and incessant use can harm your body systems and hence you must seek the help of a pain management specialist in managing your daily pain medicines. The pain consultant shall review your treatment plan and suggest and implement ways to reduce the drugs and alleviate your pain symptoms. At the same time, you shall also be provided with long term rehabilitation advice to help you prevent the pain from recurring.
